Brief Description: Base Fire generates elliptical fires that are dependent upon fire region (or 'landtype') specific inputs. Base Fire follows the principles of previous LANDIS models. However, there are significant changes in User inputs and behavior; see the User Guide for further information.
Version 2.0 adds temporally dynamic fire regions. Users can provide a series of maps that indicate the changing locations of fire regions and allows new fire regions to be introduced into the landscape over time. In all other respects, v2.0 is similar to previous versions. However, the interface (required inputs) have changed and input files from v1.0+ are not compatible with v2.0.
