Brief Description: Base Fire generates wildfires that are dependent upon fire region (or 'landtype') specific inputs. Base Fire follows the principles of previous LANDIS models. However, there are significant changes in User inputs and behavior; see the User Guide for further information.

Users can provide a series of maps that indicate the changing locations of fire regions and allows new fire regions to be introduced into the landscape over time.
